   La Piquette transported me to Provence. From the lovely atmosphere to the friendly service and delicious food, everything was authentic and delightful.

   I’m fairly regular at La Piquette for dinner with friends or family. This visit was with out of town relatives who we hadn’t seen in ten years. They loved the food and atmosphere. They had duck breast, kale side and mussels. Apple tart for dessert. I had the best duck confit I’ve ever had there, and possibly in Washington DC. Two ordered salmon and split the apple tart. Surprisingly not crowded for a Saturday evening. I’m looking forward to more visitors so I can dine there again.

   Another great time at La Piquet from the moment we walked in until we left for home. So consistent and always super, starting with cocktails and bread. Rockfish was done perfectly as was Steak Frites, perfectly cooked rate and the fries always perfect. As always, thanks for the hospitality!

   Food quality and service very good, as usual, but the pounded veal lacked much flavor. We miss the offerings of skate and the veal chop. Kitchen was very slow on main courses this evening.

    Love this place - perfect bistro fare. The house red wine is better than many "select" wines I've had at other restaurants. They do everything with care here though the atmo is nicely casual.
