At Landscape Restaurant & Grill, right in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct, we create an unforgettable dining experience.

The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Nathaniel Embrey, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover.

    Join us at Landscape Restaurant at the Henry Jones Art Hotel, opposite the Hobart waterfont, for the final meal of 2025. Chef Nathaniel Embrey and his team have prepared a set menu centred around iconic Tasmanian fare to wean you off the year. Our three-course set menu is priced at $195pp, inclusive of canapes and a glass of sparkling on arrival. All dietaries will considered provided they are noted at the time of booking.

    Our favourite restaurant in Hobart! It truly deserves 10/10 for food, service and ambience. It’s the place we always recommend if people are visiting Tasmania as we know they won’t be disappointed on any level.

    What a beautiful restaurant and what incredibly delicious food. The art on the walls is worth being there, and the meal even more so. Sonia and Winnie were a great team, Sonia recommended wines as the list is so extensive you need guidance. The best vegetable sides and the juciest grilled steak, A real treat.

    Simply stunning. Our first time dining here on recommendation, and from the time we stepped through the door, the team did not disappoint. The service was second to none, and dining with an old school drysdale trained person, who had given up on ever seeing service as it should be ever again, it was as refreshing as it was welcoming, warm and professional. The food. Wow. Evey bite as good as the other, the empty plates and smiles told the story. And what a place. Old Hobart at its very best. My wife and I don't get the opportunity to dine out alone often, Landscape made this occasion certainly one ore remember. Thank you.

    Steak and lamb were rare (bloody and on the raw side), when medium was requested. This was a huge disappointment because I remember the steak having a Smokey flavor the first time I went to landscape. Please note that medium does not mean bloody and rare - I have no idea where they got the idea it did. Winnie was an absolutely perfect waitress, and the desserts were lovely.

    Incredible experience, the setting, the service and the food were outstanding. From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, we felt like the only people in there. We can't wait to return!
