Lardo in Mexico City is known for chef Elena Reygadas' cooking of Mediterranean food from a wood burning oven. Diners are encouraged to share. We do not accept pets.

Lardo serves breakfast with egg dishes like croque madame and sandwiches. For dinner, choose from a number of small plates like ham, cheese and salads. There are also pastas, pizzas and grilled foods like octopus with chorizo, tuna, calamari, squid and beef. Desserts at Lardo include tiramisu and sorbets. A large attractive bar with excellent vintages along with the open kitchen provide a fun place to enjoy a meal.

We had the lardo on tostadas and chicken livers also on tostadas. The bread was so hard we had to just eat the toppings by themselves. The lardo was very good but the waiter told us the liver was a pate which it really wasn’t. The pistachio ice cream didn’t really have much of a taste. The waiter started off great even letting us taste some wines but then we didn’t see him until we left (he was sitting outside). Luckily the bus boy took care of us. Nice atmosphere. Most people around us ordered their pizzas which looked and smelled great. Maybe we just ordered wrong.

Lardo was exceptional. Every dish was flavorful and delicious. Vibe was great. Service was excellent.

Très bonne adresse avec cuisine méditerranéenne. Lieux moderne et agréable mais les prix sont trop élevés. Cela gâche un peu l’expérience.
