Food was 1st class, but the service wasn’t just poor, it was BAD.
To start, we ordered wine and cocktails. There are only 9 red wines on their list, my first two choices, they were OUT. The rest of the list, was poorly curated.
Once we selected our 3rd wine choice, we also ordered cocktails. After 15 minutes, I had to stop our waiter to see if he could carry our order from the bar to the table, where the drinks had been sitting for 5 minutes (so the super cold martini was now barely cold). I guess the server was overstretch, or. Just enjoyed his conversation at the next table,
But the good. The food was fabulous, truly enjoyed the Cabrito Stew, which was fabulous, the Sirloin done perfectly, as was the Octopus. The portions were plentiful, and we requested to take our remaining portions home. But, alas, the lousy service arrived. Upon arriving home, we found the Cabrito, but our 1/2 order of Sirloin was not to be found. I hope our server enjoyed his dinner!
With such shabby service, I cannot recommend this restaurant, even with such succulent food.
The service was so bad, and not just by our server, it was systemic throughout, as we spoke to another couple on our way out. Same words, great food, pitiful service. I don’t expect to see this restaurant in 6 months. I’ll head back to their sister restaurant, Lucille’s and leave this one behind.
