Le French is a gourmet, casual-chic French bistro specializing in modern Parisian cuisine with global influences, a nod to co-founders and sisters Ami and Rougui Dia’s heritage. Embracing the storied history of France and Senegal’s centuries-old relationship, Le French offers beautiful mini pastries, baked from scratch in-house, timeless French dishes, and culinary celebrations of Senegalese tradition in an intimate, sophisticated environment. The family-owned and operated restaurant serves dinner nightly, lunch on weekdays and brunch service Friday through Sunday. A thoughtful cocktail program is complemented by an extensive wine list. Le French serves Colorado guests in multiple locations, with restaurants in the Denver Tech Center’s Belleview Station and in east Denver’s 9+CO development.     Service was slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. Drinks were great. Food mediocre, bread was extremely stale. ( I’m a French chef and baker) We’ll give it another try next week for brunch to see if that was a one off. The waitress, Geneva was great.

    The inside temperature seemed to be about 65 degrees, rather chilly for a meal. We asked if the heat could be turned up a bit, but the server did not know how to do that. I noticed also that the "inside" door connecting the vestibule to the outside door was open - time to close that inner door. Summer is over! It was kept open the whole time we were there, with the temperature dropping and snow falling. The wife felt her hamburger which we expected at Le French would be perfect. was instead over cooked and quite salty. They were also out of her favorite meal at this restaurant. I guess we should call ahead in the future to make sure it is available. So, all in all, we will be back, but disappointment like this can certainly result in enthusiasm to return.

    Le French is fabulous, and I am so grateful to have this newer location located close to all the new development around 9th and Colo Blvd. Drinks, Food, Service, and Atmosphere were all on par with past experiences. My only warning is to give yourself plenty of time to dine here. The kitchen seems to easily get overwhelmed and dishes come out slowly. Plan at least 90 minutes or so. Especially if you are trying to make a movie next door.

    SALT! The food was simply salty, no other flavor could get through. The burger was a salty, sloppy mess. Poor quality! Second time we’ve tried Le French at this location once when they first opened and that was poor experience so we gave them some time and unfortunately things haven’t improved. Can’t recommend.
