Le French is a gourmet, casual-chic French bistro specializing in modern Parisian cuisine with global influences, a nod to co-founders and sisters Ami and Rougui Dia’s heritage. Embracing the storied history of France and Senegal’s centuries-old relationship, Le French offers beautiful mini pastries, baked from scratch in-house, timeless French dishes, and culinary celebrations of Senegalese tradition in an intimate, sophisticated environment. The family-owned and operated restaurant serves dinner nightly, lunch on weekdays and brunch service Friday through Sunday. A thoughtful cocktail program is complemented by an extensive wine list. Le French food and Ambience is excellent! Also, the cocktails were delicious. This is a great place for a date or intimate dining experience.

My best friend and I dined here for Valentine’s Day, and our experience was mixed. The food was good — nothing extraordinary and in rather small portions — but our entrees came out cold. The restaurant was very busy, yet the atmosphere was warm and calm, and our server was darling despite being greatly overwhelmed. The biggest bummer was that when my friend didn’t like her entree, the other dishes she would have ordered were out and everything else would have taken 45+ minutes to come out. We had a lovely time, but the food left us a bit disappointed.

This did not go well from the start. Our server had no interest in making our experience a pleasant one- she took a long time to greet us, offered no information about the menu (Valentine's Day) and generally interacted with us as little as possible. Our appetizer came out quickly, and it was very nice, but our entrees were really slow. Apparently, the kitchen was backed up and they were running out of menu items- the table next to us left after drinks when what they tried to order wasn't available. Our server muttered "This is a nightmare" as she walked by us, never looking in our direction as we sat and waited for our food. She finally came to ask if we wanted more wine, still never acknowledging our wait. The only personable interaction was with the young man who brought us water- he apologized and seemed very nice. Our food was average for what it cost but we thought we would order dessert anyway- our server handed us a menu...and disappeared. She was gone for so long we gave up and asked for the check when she came near us again. We dine out a lot and are not hard to please. Good food and good service are our expectations. Disappointing that we don't feel like we received either.

We went here for Valentine's Day, but they were operating on a smaller menu. When looking for reservations, other establishments had their menus posted, but Le French did not. Unfortunately I could not try the dish I wanted, but I would go back to try it.

Something must’ve happened in the kitchen on Valentine’s Day because we waited for over an hour between our salad and our main course so we were stuck sitting there drinking water or ordering high price drinks. The food was spectacular except the crab salad needed more crab. I just think that the drinks should’ve been comped because of what was happening in the kitchen. Great ambience great service great food.

Fantastic food. Calm and welcoming people, decoration, vibe…. Good space between the tables it doesn’t get noisy. Very nice restaurant.

This is my first time at this location, but my 5th time coming to this restaurant. As usual the food was amazing! My party ate the notre burger, chocolate crepe and salmon crepe, the french onion soup and the steak and frites. Everything looked as expected and tasted delicious. he service was awesome and our experience was wonderful. Side note, the pear martini was phenomenal! You can't miss coming here.

The emphasis at Le French now seems more French and less Senegalese than in the past. My poulet pistou crepe was crispy and delicious, though the chicken was a bit dry. The steak frites did boast very fresh and hot fries; the steak itself was cooked well enough but did not excite the tastebuds.
