Le French is a gourmet, casual-chic French bistro specializing in modern Parisian cuisine with global influences, a nod to co-founders and sisters Ami and Rougui Dia’s heritage. Embracing the storied history of France and Senegal’s centuries-old relationship, Le French offers beautiful mini pastries, baked from scratch in-house, timeless French dishes, and culinary celebrations of Senegalese tradition in an intimate, sophisticated environment. The family-owned and operated restaurant serves dinner nightly, lunch on weekdays and brunch service Friday through Sunday. A thoughtful cocktail program is complemented by an extensive wine list. Le French serves Colorado guests in multiple locations, with restaurants in the Denver Tech Center’s Belleview Station and in east Denver’s 9+CO development.     Excellent service, very nice ambience, food is o.k., portions small, prices very high. The wine list is limited and overpriced. 4 times retail price for a bottle of wine seems excessive. I would come back for drinks, but there are better alternatives for food.

    Two of us had the Lamb shank, which was terrific, fall off the bone prepared. One had the Salmon which was delicious. Wine in Denver is ok at best, but I wish this dumb law against corkage here would go away. That being said the wine was good at a decent price point. All in all a very nice place. I have been there four times now and have not been disappointed.

    Service was slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. Drinks were great. Food mediocre, bread was extremely stale. ( I’m a French chef and baker) We’ll give it another try next week for brunch to see if that was a one off. The waitress, Geneva was great.
