Situated in The Castle Hotel, Leaf is right in the heart of historic Windsor offering casual dining which combines classic British and modern European flavours. Steeped in history and with regal connections, Leaf is the perfect spot for brunch, a leisurely lunch, a delicious afternoon tea and a decadent dinner.

Executive Head Chef Suraj Lokhande works closely with independent suppliers to bring the best flavours to the dishes. The menus include comforting classics, vegan options and British artisan cheeses paired with local beers from Windsor & Eton Brewery. The alfresco terrace is a city oasis which is ideal for dining in the warmer months and enjoying a tipple or two after a day’s sightseeing.

Offering one of the best afternoon teas in Windsor, the talented team have developed a stunning Royal afternoon tea featuring freshly baked scones with clotted cream, sumptuous sandwiches and an array of delicious patisserie, paired with traditional tea blends from Darvilles of Windsor.

Our Royal afternoon Tea is legendary and is a must-try when you are visiting Windsor. Served daily from midday until 5:00 pm, we are well known in town for one of the best afternoon teas in Windsor. Friendly service. Easy booking. Nice bathrooms. Good cakes. Good that there is a vegan menu. Pretty expensive for how much you get but this is normal for fancy tea. London would be more expensive still. Disappointing plastic plants everywhere and low level airport style music. A classical playlist would be more appropriate I would say. Overall perfectly pleasant but not memorable.

Good service and comfortable restaurant. Food was good although not as expected. Venison pie had mash potato topping as opposed to pastry Strange setup with the bar though. Wine pairing suggested with starter & main course (red) were both served at the same time. In addition to this, they seemed totally incapable of serving chilled white wine. First glass was returned as not cold & was offered a glass of ice to cool it. Chose a different wine which was sadly just the same. Really can't see why this was such an issue. Waiting staff were very helpful and attempted to rectify but sadly let down by bar service

Amazing fresh food with friendly, attentive service in a lovely setting. The noise levels were really low as well. Definitely would recommend.

Lovely little lounge just inside the hotel to sit and enjoy afternoon tea. The only issue we found was no veggie option. Meat or vegan but nothing in between. The lighting is quite bright in one corner.

It was a superb evening. The set Valentine menu was great value for money. The food was excellent, and the service was very good. All staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend trying the Leaf restaurant.

Lovely food at a good price. Good venue if you want somewhere a bit quieter to have a chat over dinner.

Lovely afternoon tea for two. The service was excellent, the kitchen were happy to make a slight change to the sandwich selection and they brought out an additonal cake with a candle as I noted on the booking we were celebrating a birthday. Very friendly and attentive waiting staff. Would highly recommend a visit.

Leaf staff were very friendly. They put a balloon arrangement on our table that I requested at booking for my partners birthday. And made a special Happy Birthday dessert plate for him without being asked. The food was amazing, lovely evening altogether. Will definitely book again when we're back in Windsor. Thank you to all the staff 🥇
