Legal Sea Foods Chicago is now open along the vibrant Riverwalk in the bustling River North neighborhood at the famous Marina Towers. Legal's first Midwest location features two floors of upscale casual New England vibes with sweeping riverfront views and an outdoor space. The brand-new restaurant features a large main dining room, bar area, private event space, and outdoor terraces. Serving New England specialties such as Boston's best Clam Chowder and Half Pound Lobster Rolls, as well as new signature dishes and local favorites. The place wasn’t crowded, but Jade, made us feel like Queens. She is very knowledgeable on the menu and with share her favorites. Enjoyed my fish and chips!!! Great expresso martinis! The keylime pie could use some tartness. I will definitely go back and looking forward to partaking in happy hour. Not outrageously expensive like many restaurants.

The food was Okay. The kids salmon came out charred on the bottom and the rice was clearly microwaved from being cooked earlier. The chowder was slightly tangy which is new to me. Almost like they added some sherry. The margaritas my wife and I had tasted like 90 sour mix and we had to send them back. They did comp one. The waiter was nice but was overly familiar and felt more like the 5th member of our table. He almost wouldn’t leave us alone to try and enjoy our meal. I have been to legal seafood a half dozen times on the east coast and it has always been good. Considering they are owned (and are next door) by Smith&Wollinkys I expected more.

The food was amazing and the service was great! We had the blackened white fish and lobster roll and both were cooked perfectly! I will definitely be back!!

It was our first time eating at Legal Seafood. We ordered the $1 cup of clam chowder for the annual clam chowder day. We also tried the oysters and ceviche! Service was excellent I will be coming back for their oysters and their martinis!

The NE clam chowder was outstanding. I then had the fish sandwich which could feed 2 but I don't believe in doggy bags...even in January weather the river side views are great-even better in the summer. Dessert was Boston creme pie-don't hesitate!

We had a fantastic experience at this Legal Seafoods!! The restaurant is very beautiful, full of light, and had great views of the Chicago river. We had clam chowder to die for, the best crab cakes ever, and a wonderful bowl of peel & eat shrimp!!! Our server, Chris P, was so personable, professional and extremely attentive throughout our meal. Thank you so much, Chris P!!! We will be back many times!!
