Liberty Kitchen at The Treehouse located in Memorial City, joins the neighborhood as a local restaurant serving modern, American food. Diners can see our chefs as they work the open flames cooking steaks, chops, ribs and fish. The inclusion of the grill has greatly influenced the menu – dishes made in cast iron Dutch ovens and an international selection of craveable Southern Coastal cuisine. The food is bold in flavor and rich in textured layering with a twist on tradition, the flickering flames lend a pleasant invitation to settle in to the space, relax and quite simply, eat.

Some of the favorite Liberty Kitchen staples are on offer such as the Creole Whole Crab, Shrimp and Andouille Gumbo, R&D Test Kitchen: Infamous Burger Bowl, Deviled Eggs and Lance’s Loaded Hushpuppies (The Real Original) served Liberty Kitchen gorilla-style. Daily Chef Special’s are not to be missed.

    Wonderful service in an eclectic and interesting setting. The live music was great and not too loud. We had great east coast oysters and a good 1/2 Cesar salad to start. My husband had redfish on the half shell and I had the crab and lemon risotto. The risotto was tasty, but lacked lemon flavor and was a little dry for my taste. Wine and drinks are expensive. A glass of Louis jadot Chablis is $18. The stand out of the evening was the Parkerhouse rolls—amazing!

    Liberty Kitchen is my neighborhood go-to for fresh seafood. The staff always goes above and beyond. Last night, while the door hostess was away, the chef even came over to tell me that she would be right back. Their spirits list is deep. The small Caesar salad was delicious and so large that I could not finish it. The fried lobster bites were cooked to perfection and succulent. A great meal and evening.

    Hostess didn’t seem very observant of the front desk. I had an 11am reservation but overall it wasn’t too long of a wait to be seated. The food was excellent but my server Javier was elite! He provided the best dining experience. I was very pleased with his overall demeanor and hospitality. I would definitely recommend not only the restaurant but Javier too!!

    Liberty Kitchen has a great neighborhood vibe. Excellent food, service and a diverse menu. From our booth, we could see a couple in their 60's watching the astros game; a father eating a Saturday lunch with his 2 young daughters; a couple on their first date; and several groups of men and women enjoying lunch on a cold and rainy weekend. I recommend their wagyu burgers and kale salad.

    The food and service from our waiter were both incredible and exceeded our expectations, but even with a reservation, we still had to wait 30 minutes for a table.

    Liberty Kitchen was understandably crowded for Valentine's Day. We were seated around 8:45 p.m. for an 8:15 p.m. reservation (we showed up at 7:30 p.m.). The 'tasting' menu was good, but obviously prepared ahead and reheated. Still a great place, but it wasn't as good on Valentine's Day.

    It’s valentines, so I believe that’s the reason. Good taste good and I expect something better on a quiet day.

    We had a reservation at 7:30 and weren’t sat until 8:15. My boyfriend precisely asked for a well done piece of salmon yet it came out raw. I had high hopes for this establishment. Our waiter was great and friendly. Didn’t bother ordering another glass of champagne because of how backed up the bar was. Now I understand that it was Valentine’s Day, however, they could have a little more order and preciseness when it comes to the food especially if we are paying over 140 dollars for a meal. I’m not sure we will be back. The hostesses were not friendly.

    The meal was amazing. I had the halibut that was perfectly cooked. The sides were really good. The drinks were great. Beautiful place. Will definitely come here again.
