   Been to this restaurant many times. In general, the food is good. Today's experience was not great. My entree, the pulled chicken sandwich arrived cold, not warm, cold. It was so busy that I did not send it back. Other diners also had room temperature, not hot food (chicken wrap) and pulled pork sandwich. Also time for the restaurant to give their menu a refresh. Hasn't changed in a very long time.

   Not for us. 3 of us got the brisket sandwich. It was to dry for us. Flavor was good just not easy to chew. Need lots of the delish BBQ sauce. One of us that got the shrimp sandwich loved it. Mac and cheese had a GREAT flavor but also was dry. Putting the delish poblano creme fixed that problem. Excellent service, great flavor, sad to say it was to dry for us.

   This is a great restaurant to visit if you’re in the Madison area. There’s a nice bar, an indoor fireplace you can sit around and along with a patio area or dining room area! Lots of options! The food is great and the staff is friendly.

    Took my daughter and wife for Valentines and have never been so embarrassed. We had a reservation for 5:15 and from the moment we got there, we must have been told at least 4 different times, that we had to be done by 7 as there was another reservation. Not sure why they felt this was necessary. Food was salty, overcooked and dry and generally not fit for consumption. They got my wife's order wrong twice and she ended up eating what little she could way after the rest of us were done. She ordered the Salmon with lump crab that was supposed to be served with rice pilaf. Instead after two attempts it was served with dry, plain white rice with a bay leaf on top?????? Since when is bay leaf a garnish. The place is somewhat barren, uncomfortable and uninteresting. The noise level as others have mentioned, was quite high. They ended up comping the meal, but the deed was done and the experience was ruined for us. I was shocked at how expensive the meals were for a run of the mill BBQ joint. Without drinks for 3 it was $145. This is way out of line for what you get and the quality of the experience. I can't stress enough what a generally unpleasant experience this was. We will never return.

    Chuck, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I apologize for your unpleasant experience. The communication about your reservation was meant to audit your expectations and ensure that you were allowed enough time to dine comfortably. While unnecessary perhaps for a single reservation, It becomes crucial when managing over 375 reservations on a busy holiday. I also apologize that we confused your wife's feature salmon with our standard Grilled Salmon. A mistake that our server should have clarified at the table. While you are correct we did remove all of you meals from the bill, the total was $148 with drinks and appetizers. Lastly, managing the volume levels in the dining room is something we are attempting to remedy. A substantial challenge especially on a Holiday Friday 6:30.
