   Contrary to my previous experience here I had to ask our waiter to order a la carte instead of being forced to go with the four course menu which I was told is now expected but which I did not care to do. I find this an annoyance unless the venue specifically offers only a set menu--like a Japanese omikase or kaiseki. At least the kitchen heeded our request for less salt.

   Lilac is truly my favorite spot in town. Amazing food. Even better service. Feel like family as a frequent guest. Don’t miss the truffle pasta or the soufflé. And go for the wine pairings!

   Decided to surprise my wife on a whim and I was not disappointed. Premium price tag but you get EXACTLY what you pay for. Highly recommended for a very special occasion. I will definitely come back

   We came for our 21st wedding anniversary and Lilac did not disappoint. We were greeted personally by all the wait staff. We were brought to our table with a personal card about our anniversary. The food was beyond excellent, the service was the best service we have ever received. Each course was crafted to perfection. The presentation was beyond amazing. The food tasted excellent. I am still thinking about it the next day. The overall experience was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Thank you for helping us celebrate our special day and making us feel more than special.

    Another exceptional meal at Lilac complemented by incredible service and beautiful ambience. Ryan, the sommelier, affords guests a delightful selection of wine pairings. Lilac is surely a gem in the Tampa area.
