LingerはRoot Downのシェフ/オーナーのJustin Cucciが2番目にオープンしたレストランで、デンバーのローワーハイランズ地区に位置しています。Lingerの色鮮やかなメニューは、ファーム・トゥー・ストリートをコンセプトにした伝統的な各国のエスニック料理が中心で、再生利用したボックスカーのフロア、楕円形のレンガ、Lite Briteのバーカウンター、デンバーのダウンタウンの素晴らしい景色を望むインフィニティウィンドウなどを取り入れた意図的な矛盾とも呼べるデザインが特徴です。料理、サービス、ストーリーの絶妙な組み合わせがミックステープのように感情を引き出します。Lingerでは料理を改革しようとしているのではありません。もっとシンプルに、お気に入りの曲を聞いた時に感じるような気持ちを引き出せればと願っています。

We had a wonderful brunch at Linger. Our server was incredibly nice and helpful and the food was delicious. We split three items on the menu and had cocktails as well. I highly recommend the Churro French Toast! We will definitely be back.

Generally speaking, Linger has been great and we enjoy dining there. However, we made a reservation for lunch on a Saturday at 2:30pm, and on the day of our reservation we got a phone call from the restaurant letting us know that they “lock the doors at 2:30pm, so could we come a few minutes early?”. And they also told us the kitchen would be shutting down, so we should order our food when we order our drinks (Linger is a small plates/tapas restaurant, so ordering everything at once is not really how they operate). Sure enough, when we tried to order one last dish we were told no, that the kitchen had been shut down. To their credit, they let us enjoy our food and conversation after they had “locked the doors” but it was overall an uncomfortable situation and was disappointing because we brought friends who had never been to Linger, and we did not get the full experience. It’s my opinion that Linger should not be making reservations when the restaurant and the kitchen are closed. Customer service was lacking in this instance.

DO BETTER Linger. The fixed Valentine’s menu felt mass produced. Expensive risotto was gummy and stuck in my teeth. Scallops were over browned and undercooked. Main course was dropped off at the table while I was half way done with the underwhelming wedge salad. Two people tried to serve us champagne meant for another table. All of this for a very pretty penny! In fairness, our server Xander was delightful, and the Mortuary Margarita was fantastic.

The service and food were amazing. The staff at Linger were very kind, helpful, and courteous. The food was all around top quality. It was a specialty 4 course Valentine’s Day menu, by my girlfriend and I were very pleased with the choices and look forward to taking another night out at Linger to try the rest of the menu.

Fantastic dinning experience! Everyone was so nice and attentive. I proposed to my girlfriend and she said yes! The staff and management proceeded to make it a night to remember, guaranteeing our return in the spring when we can enjoy the rooftop view.
