Lucia York is an all-day restaurant and cocktail bar serving a modern Italian menu feat. homemade pasta, gelato, pizza, pesce & carne dishes seven days a week.

Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

    This is a nice restaurant and the food is lovely. However.... we ordered and ate our starter and main course, but when it came to a desert. We were told that, they would have to check how long we had left on the table, because their policy is that you are only allowed the table for 1.5 hours, whether you have finished eating in that time or not, after 1.5 hours they need the table back. They then extended our table time by 10 minutes, so we ordered a desert. But I was then told, that I couldn't have my desert, because another of Lucia's policy's is, if you have an allergy, they can't serve you a desert because they can't guarantee the deserts are 100% nut free. Surely this would also have applied for the main course to? My wife, managed to have a desert and I was allowed a coffee in the end, before we were given the bill and rushed off. When leaving Lucia, there was a table of 3 ladies, having exactly the same heated discussion, about having a desert as my wife and I had. Whilst I understand that we couldn't have sat there all night, we felt like in the end we had been rushed and the manor in which the manager spoke to us, was appalling. If the food hadn't been good, this review would definitely have only been 1 star, not 3.

    The food was outstanding. Very busy night so got forgotten a couple of times but didn’t matter. Will definitely eat here again and recommend *****

    Our party of 8 dined on a busy Saturday afternoon before Christmas. The service was excellent throughout and the food was beautiful. We had the bottomless brunch and thought that it was very good value and would recommend

    Lucias is still one of the best places to dine in York. The whole layout and ambience of the restaurant makes for the perfect night out. The staff are so polite and proactive.
