Located in a historical home in the resort town of Dana Point, California, Luciana's Ristorante has been serving the Orange County community for over 40 years. The decor is reminiscent of a cozy European-style inn, establishing it as one of Orange County's most romantic restaurants. Awarded the Southern California Restaurant Writers gold medal since 1996, three stars from the California Restaurant Writers, Zagat's Survey "America’s 1,000 Top Italian Restaurants 2008" and an Award of Excellence for its wine list, Luciana's has been setting the standard for classic as well as innovative Italian cuisine.     The staff always makes us feel so welcome. José was very attentive and patient with our talkative group. The trout special was delicious and we were warm and toasty on the front patio. Love Luciana's!

    The bucatini matriciana was sub par. Pancetta was cut into big cubes and chewy… should be strips or smaller pieces so that some of the fat could be removed in the frying process. Bread was cold and butter not spreadable. We sat in the tented area which was nice and comfortable. It was a minor inconvenience to have to go to the main restaurant to check in when you are parked next to the tent.

    We sat outside on the patio, weather somewhat cold even with heaters on. Food was fine but we have had better meals here in the past. Wine was very good. Have had better service in the past. Overall, ok but lacking something. ???

    We have been here many times and have always enjoyed a great meal. The service is always very good and the food is always served hot. We have tried many different dishes and everything is always yummy. The linguine vongole and the fettuccine gamberoni are both very good. Nice dessert menu, always nice to have a treat after a meal!

    Grateful to report that every meal at Luciana’s is a joy! The wine list is exceptional. The seafood dishes are well prepared, with sauces that enhance the natural flavors but don’t overwhelm them. The service is terrific and personable, and of course, the ambiance is delightful. What a treasure!
