Lumen Detroit at Beacon Park offers a unique dining experience in the heart of the city, blending modern architecture with a vibrant park setting. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling retractable windows and one of Detroit's largest outdoor patios, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor ambiance. Guests can enjoy seasonally inspired Modern American cuisine, craft cocktails, and an extensive bar selection, whether on the rooftop or by the cozy outdoor firepits. With its lively atmosphere and picturesque views of Beacon Park, Lumen is the perfect spot for any occasion.

We offer valet parking for $15 Wednesday-Sunday. There is also metered street parking available on a limited basis. Please note that reservations will be held for 15 minutes, after which they are subject to cancelation. We allot 2 hours per table for dining, after which we may ask for your table. Due to the possibility of inclement weather our patio tables are available on a first-come first-served basis.

    Our heated, full-service Private Chalets are currently available for reservations and can accommodate groups of up to 10. Please note that all Private Chalet reservations are subject to a $35 per person food and beverage minimum (tax & gratuity not included) which is due at the time of booking. This $35 per person charge will be deducted from the bill the night of your reservation. All Private Chalet reservations are allotted 2 hours for dining, after which we may ask for the table. Because of limited availability and high demand, your 2-hour time begins at the time of your reservation. A 20% gratuity may be added to ALL Chalet reservations. Chalet Reservations are refundable up to 48 hours in advance, after which all sales are final.

    Atmosphere and Service was very good. The restaurant was very clean and the open wall of windows enhanced a gorgeous view of the near downtown area. I gave a three out of a five star rating because although the food was presented lovely, the temperature and flavors of the food left much room for improvement. I was disappointed the baked chicken was replaced by a pink tomato based Crispy Chicken Marsala . It was dry, with very little flavor. My husband had the Bolognese which was lukewarm in temperature and bland. However, the Everything Wings, Salads and Calamari was very good and highly recommend. Will definitely go again, but we will pay much attention to what to order!

    Great spot! Would be amazing in the summer! Excellent service and we loved our food. Valet parking wad easy! Perfect place for an early dinner before a play!

    We ordered a Caesar salad ( definitely large enough for two of us to share), then two plates -pasta with added salmon and Thai salmon. Both were delicious and our servers brought each out perfectly timed. The dessert menu was limited ( three choices) but we ordered the banana pie ( which was more like a pudding/cheesecake texture) that we shared and it was delicious as well. We hadn’t been here in awhile, but we would definitely come back again especially since they are one of the few restaurants in Detroit that is open until 11pm. The last time we dined here was with friends in the outdoor chalet which is really special, heated and private, but we enjoyed eating inside with a great view. Great meal and service.

    Server was great, however the 2 top tables are far too small if you’re there for apps and drinks with friends. Very uncomfortable.

    Wasn't impressed at all. Ate in the igloo which was freezing until they realized they never turned it on. No bread which was a huge disappointment as that is my favorite part of the meal. Overpriced for subpar food. Spent the entire time staring at Sexy Steak across the street wishing I was there.

    Great service, nice peaceful environment, great food with very generous portions as well. I would definitely recommend Lumen, I most certainly will be back myself.

    Crispy Thai Salmon, brussels sprouts, and banana pie were so delicious. Everyone in my party had something different and we each loved our dishes. Great service and a fun setting. Will go back in the summer to check out the outdoor patio.
