    Tom was our server and he was outstanding. Friendly, patient, helpful, informative, engaging but not over powering. We took up the recommendation of the special of chicken in white wine sauce with apple and chestnuts and shared a portion of country vegetables and chips. It was absolutely delicious and arrived very quickly. The portion sizes were ideal and everything arrived hot and well cooked. We were seated upstairs as it was a more relaxed and cosy area with deep green walls and lots of interesting pictures. We decided to have dessert and I can highly recommend the cheesecake. Tom even delivered a complimentary scoop of ice cream as we were celebrating, so very thoughtful. I highly recommend the restaurant.

    Excellent service. Food was tasty - I did however have a couple of minor criticisms, which I shared with the waiter. Nothing to spoil it overall. Mash, salads, bisque main were delicious. Overall would definitely recommend.

    Brilliant lunch and service today at our local St Albans Lussmanns. Always great food and drink - today as good as ever. Handled all our comings and goings (child in concert at Abbey) with ease and efficiency. Shout out to Sam for being so nice to the children and for accommodating some staggered orders!! Thank you!!

    I cannot fault the service the waitress was so attentive. However, the food was a different story. My friend and i had the Christmas menu which looked great value. I had goats cheese and beetroot starter. When the waitress asked what did i think, i remarked i could of done with a magnifying glass to find the cheese. It was so tiny all 3 pieces , if you blinked you would of missed it. My friends prawn starter was ok. The main we both choose was advertised as lamb shoulder. We were served lamb shank. Which would of been fine except the lamb was still attached to the bone and was not falling off as one ine expects with lamb shank. The manager came over( who was lovely) but did not appear to understand the difference between shoulder and shank. Offered for the chef to cook another which would be ready in 15 minutes. It was slightly better but not falling off the bone. It transpired that the food is cooked in the main kitchen in another lussmans , then finished off in the oven ie reheated at st albans. I was clear if i known this i would not of booked. Pudding for me was ok. Chocolate dark moose . My friend had the cheese board more chutney than cheese, 5 crackers and 5 grapes . There was an additional £5 charge for this as it was set menu. We only had to pay for the pudding and wine. As i said service was great. The food well i think the above says volumes

    Nice space to eat in St Albans a friendly welcome, lovely decor. The food was good. But our aperitif was mean glass of fizz. At the end of the meal we were left to find our own coats in a staff area by the upstairs 🚻 loo. Not very impressive.

    Really friendly welcome. Waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to choosing from the menu. Speedy service. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
