Welcome to Madre Osteria & Bar! Located in Milton, MA on the ground level of Milton Landing overlooking the Neponset River. Offering a modern approach to classic, rustic Italian cuisine created by Chef Sam Curtis. Think house-made Foccacia and specialty grande meatballs. Entrees include Truffle Risotto, Braised Short Rib, and Wild Boar Ragú. In addition to Italian and seafood dishes, we also offer gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The interior design of Madre is both elegant and casual. We offer a full bar and wine list. Seating options include tables, high tops, a bar, and a beautiful outdoor patio.

We are right down the road from our sister restaurants Lower Mills Tavern and Yellow Door Taqueria in Dorchester - perfect spots to grab a drink before or after your reservation!

A handful of other places nearby include the Forbes House Museum, Boston Medical Center, Carney Hospital, Dorchester Park, Lower Neponset River Trail, and more!

The food was adequate. The service was poor, but they tried with smiles. first course to fast, second course delivered while we still had plates in font of us. Water was replenished when asked. Wine glasses were dirty, but we didn't care because we didn't want to wait for another. Pasta dishes were too skimpy on marinara sauce. Keep trying. BTW, your marinara needs help, let me know if you need a lesson in making good Sunday Gravy.

I organized a dinner here for my parents and my brother and his girlfriend. What a vibe. Great food, reasonably priced and the ambiance was loved by all ages in my family. Will definitely be back for date night with my husband.

Not up to the level we have come to expect from here. Food was exceptionally (though it is not normally), bland, and the service was ‘ok’

The highest positives were the service and the noise level. The waitstaff was pleasant, and the noise level was low. We went for an early dinner at 3:15, so there was ample parking and there were multiple tables to choose. We ordered the Calamari Friti for the appetizer, and my wife chose the cod, and I had the short ribs. The Calamari was fine, yet the addition of peas did not work. There was a familiar taste that i could not identify, but sweet and spicy peppers would have been a positive over the strange addition of peas. The cod was in desperate need of spice or a sauce and was overly dry. The ribs also were dry and were also in need of a sauce. They were tender and mildly tasty, but they were not worth finishing. For dessert, we shared a Tiramisu that was fine. The reviews on line gave me hope that the experience would have been much better (but it was just okay), and I went because it was five minutes down the street. But I'm not sure that i would go back. Overall, there are better places to eat in busy East Milton Sq.

Wanted to love it but the eggplant appetizer which would have been outstanding came out cold. Meatballs were tough and not a lot of flavor. We would still give this another try because the atmosphere and people were great.

This was our first experience at Madre Osteria Our family of six we’re sharing New Year’s Eve dinner. It was a warm, festive atmosphere, friendly staff and very good food. We will be coming back. Looking forward to visiting when we can see the river and enjoy the patio. .
