   This was a very disappointing experience. They had no record of our Opentable booking, didn't even recognise the booking confirmation I printed off. There were no other guests until a couple arrived half an hour before we left. Four of us had lunch and only two had good food. Two portions of fish, the same dish, one was hot the other cold. When we complained about the cold fish we were told it was because it was served with salad on top. The other one had salad and it was hot. A chicken dish was delivered instead of duck. We were told they only used breast meat. When the duck arrived it was mostly gelatinous skin and we refused to pay. They took the duck dish off the bill and half of he fish price. By the time we left the other couple were still waiting for their starter. We had no offer of desserts, indeed there are none on the menu, no offer of coffee or tea, the waitress had just disappeared. We believe that their website does not portray the true ambience or quality of food served in this restaurant. We wondered if the restaurant has changed hands. There was none of the creativity and subtle flavours we would have expected in presentation or food. Knutsford had so many beautiful restaurants which are not in Opentable, I would suggest that they get other ones instead of this one.
