Mallards is serving up award winning seafood & Cajun fare with southern hospitality.

Born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, southern hospitality is on the top of our list. It’s more than tradition. It’s ice cold beer, key lime pie, and a party in our backyard. Our family wanted to turn passion into a reality in 2013, so we came together and opened Mallards. With Dad in charge of the menu all of our favorites started showing up! From Jambalaya to Tennessee Hot Chicken, our story finds itself on each and every plate!

    The food is usually good but missed the mark tonight. I tried the salmon and it was tasteless and way too much butter. I usually order the fish tacos but got tired of them getting soggy due to the presentation (served on a board). Please invest in those silver tacos holders.

    I did not know what to expect my first time there, but they did an excellent job, from the service to the food they made. This time, I did not order any drinks, but from what I saw, they looked delish

    The corn fritters are always a hit! Then we had fish n chips, shrimp and clam chowder-wonderful meal. The breading was very light. Also they handled our child’s peanut allergy very well. We will be back!

    Food is wonderful, service ok, we ordered, got our bread, 2 minutes later our main course, then asked about our soup and salad, got those half way through main, got dessert to go, cheesecake, thought it would have some berry toppings, was just plain cheesecake, we have been going to Mallards off and on since they opened in Inver Grove, food has mostly been good, service has mostly been poor

    Mallards is our neighborhood restaurant in Inver Grove Heights. It’s our go to place for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I can’t say enough about the food the service the ambience. We love it.

    We had a delicious meal on Christmas Eve! There were 3 of us. I ordered the jambalaya. It was flavorful but not hot which I appreciated. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits and the other friend ordered the po boy. They both enjoyed their meals. We shared a dessert - the apple pie. Sooo good! Our server was great! She was friendly, responsive and seemed very genuine. Overall we had a wonderful experience.
