    My wife ordered salmon and shrimp, I ordered the fisherman it was amazingly good !! My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner and atmosphere was great ! Lovely place to have to eat at I’ll be back !!

    While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the service was a bit slow. We arrived for an early dinner so the restaurant was not that crowded. I was disappointed when I ordered a dish that was billed as shrimp carbonara. What I received was pasta in a béchamel sauce with mushrooms, spinach, bacon bits, and shrimp. Definitely not carbonara. There was very little flavor to the dish.

    I guess St Patrick’s day for lunch was not the best idea. Usually and consistently the food is quite good. Not today. Perhaps as I was the only person dining by the bar. Seems the employees were more dedicated to their smart phones than to the mechanics of the restaurant. Since this was a one time experience I’ll just shrug it off for now. Hopefully next time is much better. If there is a “next time”?

    We've been going here for about a year. Generally the food is always good, acceptable. The service is always excellent. Just one suggestion, they really need to update, change their menu from time to time. Plus odd a seafood restaurant that never has mussels? All in all, we will be back

    We really enjoyed our lunch at The Marblehead Chowder House. We started with warm crb dip, vegetables and toast. It was wonderful. I wish that I had the recipe. We had various entrees from oysters to crab quiche to loaded salad. It was all very good, served in a nice atmosphere by a friendly and excellent server. We will be back, soon!
