We are located on the ground floor of Manchester Hall – the former Freemasons Hall – and you’ll notice a few nods to the building’s past in our interiors. Our team recreate classic bistro dishes using fresh local ingredients in a vibrant dining environment. Just as the Masons’ name references the building’s unique history, the food at Masons is the Best of British with a modern twist.

First visit. Fidd and service excellent. Drinks a bit pricey but off set by the quality of the food. My seafood linguine was the best I’ve had.

Nicely decorated restaurant in a classy building. Food was excellent as was the service. Don’t understand why it was so quiet at 7 on a Saturday. Maybe people are drawn to more fashionable eateries but this place deserves a visit.

Food was of a poor standard. Starters overcooked and bland, steak was poor quality, I will not dine here again. A shame as it’s a nice setting.

Disappointing…food very salty and just not very good. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately. Music from event way too loud and thudding through restaurant.

Didn’t seem to be many staff around which affected the service. Food was very good though.

Have eaten here 3 times now for Sunday lunch and overall the experience has been very good. The menu is not extensive but always adequate enough choice for Sunday lunch. The service is great and the restaurant is not noisy so you can have a good conversation without shouting above the music, as is the case in some restaurants.

Very quiet. Lovely atmosphere. Service was a tad slow. Meals didn't feel complete as many were just a meat and a carbon side. Could have done with vegetables and sauce.
