The Crown is a new gastronomic pub created from the collaboration of the Medicine Bakery team with Joules Brewery. Located in the heart of Codsall, The Crown offers a modern take on traditional pub food using fresh, seasonal ingredients and inspired cooking techniques.

The Crown also has an extensive Ale and Beer list with a focus on local and sustainable producers. There is also a wide selection of wine and cocktails created by expert Mixologists.

The pub has two large bar areas, as well as a dining room and a private function space (email info@medicinebakery.co.uk for enquiries)

Had the Christmas dinner which was lovely. However I had two teenage boys with me and they couldn't eat the beef as it was too chewy. One was changed for Turkey. The other had the chicken with the beef so just ate that. Very disappointing because the main part of Sunday Lunch is the ROAST the meat...

Fantastic food and service. First of all great pub, great atmosphere. We called ahead as we noticed our vouchers were out of date by a week but they were happy to honour it and we were so thankful. Incredible food and great service, will definitely be back soon

After having Sunday lunch multiple times I thought I’d try the normal menu with a friend, unfortunately this fell short of the mark. The fries were cold when they were bought out and the burger was only what I can describe as average. The service by the staff was very good though and they’re a credit to The Crown. Drinks prices were good and the drinks service was fast

Amazing food and welcoming friendly staff. However, our table was booked for 5 people which included my 13 year old daughter. We were told we had to leave before 9pm by door staff, a rule which was not highlighted on the website or known by other staff. Basically we missed out on dessert. Still. This little mess up hasn’t put us off and we will be back as the food and serving staff made the visit.

Really enjoyed the meal, my only gripe is the discretionary service charge not being overly highlighted on the receipt amongst the order. You eye is naturally drawn directly to the total and the charge doesn't stand out. I want to see a choice of whether I want to pay the charge and not have it automatically added to the total. Ideally 2 totals should be given, one with, one without the charge.

My husband and I visited sunday 27th at 4.30pm with our 3 year old. The sunday dinner was shocking. It came too quickly, therefore we suspected it wasnt fresh. The potatoes had been reheated and the meat was clearly from a cheap joint. My daughters chicken was dry. With all this said, we did eat it and no we didnt comment at the time when the waiter asked if everything was ok. We were hungry and we ate it. The freshest thing on our plate was the vegetables. For £20 per adult, the dinner was VERY disappointing and i will not be recommending.

The team of Chefs freshly prepare all lunches, the reason yours arrived quickly, we had a large party of 20 around the same time .We served your table first, to prevent a longer wait with a small child. We check back on all tables to ensure everything is satisfactory and we would happily address and rectify any issues if we had been made aware at the time. This a great example of a English pub. Plenty of room and there different dining areas which are themed. Food is as described and well presented. Simple food done well. Staff are attentive and friendly.
