                                                                                        This was our first time dining at Meehan's Chophouse. We were celebrating our belated Valentine's dinner. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the chairs were extremely comfortable. The staff was top-notch, and the food was superb. Our waiter, Will, was very professional and friendly. He made our experience worth the visit. We both ordered and enjoyed the prime NY strip. I added a lobster tail for $25 extra, and we had shareable sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered an Old Fashion cocktail with a hint of butter pecan. For dessert, we enjoyed the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. This spot is great for date nights, regular dining, and/or large parties. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be returning and bringing more guests with us next time.

                                                                                        The food is some of the best that Mansfield has to offer. I would say some of the best food in all of DFW. The lamb lollipop as an appetizer, filet and Brussel sprouts for the meal - all prepared perfectly. My wife had the lobster salad and loved it! We have always been treated kindly and will certain be back.

                                                                                        Meehan's has consistently excellent food and service based on several visits. During this visit we had the baked brie, Chophouse wedge, sliced filet mignon with rosemary mushroom cream sauce that we shared and grilled jumbo asparagus. The baked brie came with fig compote, granny smith apples and crostini bread - very delicious! The mushroom sauce on the sliced medium rare fillet mignon highlighted the tender steak. We loved the large asparagus spears that were covered with a dijonnaise sauce and smoked paprika. After dinner we went to attached cigar bar, Henry's, for a cigar and bourbon. We will be returning many more times.

                                                                                        I precede this review by the fact that it may not be a fair representation of this restaurant. My husband and I went for a late lunch on Valentine’s Day. Since neither of us are big eaters and we did not want leftovers, we wanted to order from the lunch menu, which did not result in a high dollar ticket for our server. I had been assured when I called that we could do so until 4 pm. Our server indicated they would honor the lunch menu although since it was Valentine’s Day, they preferred only the dinner menu. I ordered the shrimp linguine, and my husband had the chicken Milanese. My husband enjoyed his dinner, but my shrimp linguine was so drenched in heavy sauce that I was not able to eat anything except the shrimp. Although I mentioned this more than once to our server, there was no offer to provide additional linguine to add to the excessive sauce. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant ambiance, but I left somewhat hungry having only had the shrimp from the linguine. I would not order this again. I guess my best words of advice would be, “ if you’re at a steakhouse, order steak”.
