The food was tasty and came out of the kitchen very quickly, but there seem to be three or four different people taking care of our table none of whom communicated with each other and things still apart at the end of the meal when drinks and coffee we had ordered simply never showed up

A nice restaurant, conveniently located near theaters in the South End. The food was good, but light on vegetables. Two in our party ordered Tandoori dishes - the meat was fantastic - but there were no grilled peppers or onions, as expected. The lamb dishes were delicious, the rice was good and the garlic naan was perfect. Service was attentive. The restaurant seemed to cater to take-out, in the early evening when we were there. We would return, primarily for the convenient location.

Always a very tasty Indian meal. Excellent naan, excellent samosa, large selection of hearty vegetarian options. Service is attentive.

Mela has amazing Indian food and great cocktails (the martinis are a bargain at $12). We go there regularly. Service was a bit spotty on this night - I think we got a new trainee as our waiter - but they got the order 100% correct and were generally timely.
