We had a wonderful meal to celebrate turning 21. Great drinks, prompt service, perfectly cooked thick filet and tender scallops. We will definitely go back!

MICO was an excellent breakfast location for a business meal. Service (Horace) was outstanding, attentive but not overbearing. Food offerings were varied and well prepared. Chef was able to adjust to the dietary restrictions my business associate required. The setting was quiet and ambience was perfect. Overall outstanding.

Here for brunch. Best waffle in town (topped with a cinnamony blueberry compote, fresh cream, and strawberries ) all accompanied by Gypsy jazz— violin and guitar. And don’t forget the complementary little dessert buffet. Outstanding!

I really wanted to love this place. We’re new to Charlotte and have been exploring different restaurants in the area. While the hotel and restaurant are beautifully decorated, unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways. The seafood board was a major disappointment. The ceviche didn’t taste fresh, the lobster was limp, and the “grilled” shrimp on the skewer arrived cold. When we ordered, the waitress assured us it would be served hot. The manager was attentive and helpful when we needed assistance, but that didn’t make up for the other issues. We decided to share the paella entree with scallops, which came with a $23 upcharge for just two scallops. The portion was small and arrived at room temperature. It seemed like the waitress put in the order at the same time as the appetizer, and it sat waiting until we finished. She had also assured us the portion was large enough to share, which it wasn’t. This was the second time we were misinformed. We don't mind paying more for a great dining experience. The waitress didn’t seem knowledgeable overall. For example, when I asked about Prosecco, she told me they didn’t sell it by the glass and instead recommended a Sauvignon Blanc, which is completely different. The night ended with a mediocre apple torte with ginger ice cream, supposedly made by their “in-house” pastry chef—who must have been on vacation.

We enjoyed our Christmas dinner at MICO. The server was pleasant and helpful. The ambience was sophisticated and the food was delicious. That said, we paid more for this meal than anywhere else in Charlotte (like $300 for two) and the food was not particularly memorable. We would not return or recommend.

we arrived early and they could not seat us even thou restaurant was half empty food was served not warm enough due to lack of service not enough people working we awaited long time for second curse. side dishes were extremely small for the price. I paid my bill and my Branzino skin was still next to the bill. on a positive not the quality of the food was good not able to fully enjoy due to the temperature.

The hostess, Karen, disliked that we were 10 minutes early to our reservation and said “you will have to wait while I help others.” We waited 30 minutes, watched her seat 5 walk ins, and then I went to the hostess stand and stood there until she sat us. She sat us at “her favorite table” which is restaurant code for the worst table or the customer we don’t want. I will just say it is the worst restaurant I have been to and will not return.

Very disappointed! First...there wasn't anyone to seat us and took over 20 minutes before someone noticed us (we did have a reservation). Paid $125 for a steak and lobster dinner that should have been an appetizer and took over an hour to get it! Won't be going back!!
