Mischa is a New American restaurant from Alex Stupak located in Midtown Manhattan, within The Hugh, at 153 East 53rd Street, between 3rd Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

My 2nd and likely last time dininf at Mischa. Nothing was terrible but everything was off. The black hummus, the hot dog, its chili side; all not right. I've eaten all of these dishes before. I brought an out of town visitor. I had to apologize to him after the meal. I don't know what wrong but if it's not fixed soon.....

This was a lovely experience. Some of the best service I've ever had, and absolutely amazing food.

Besides the fact that the menu is a very unusual combination, we found that what we ordered was delicious. The service was excellent. We went early so the restaurant was still quiet

The $29 hotdog is the star on this menu so that’s what I had. The hotdog itself was crisp and juicy, although parts of the casing were inedible. The bun was very good as well. I think a lot of the fuss regarding this item relates to the different condiments with which it is served. These were made available in minuscule quantities with the exception of some chili. I would rate all of them as distinctly average. The other menu items I and my guests selected were adequate, but not worth the money. The space itself is large, spread out and disparate in feeling. The music was far too loud. In my experience, no one goes to restaurants for the music rather for the food. The service was attentive and thoughtful. Now that I have given this a try, I won’t be coming back.

Visited here after seeing the chef on the Today Show. The place was nice looking but not many people there. The menu is pretty limited so be sure to look ahead of time. I got the mushroom patty melt, others got the Spetzle, and the ribs. My husband said the ribs were just ok. He didn’t care for the slaw. My daughter said the Spetzle was not bad. We started with the onion dip and wouldn’t recommend that although I did enjoy the variety of crudités that came with it. Overall, we don’t feel the need to return. The waiter was nice and attentive.

After reading the NY Tines review we decided to give Mischa a try. We weren't disappointed. We highlly recommend the Hot Dog as a main choice.

Alex & his staff are amazing. We knew the food was going to be engaging. It was more than that! Cocktails are creative, black hummus was so good. We could not decide which was better the bread served w/ hummus or the hummus. I'm a yachtsman so can't get enough fish but, chilled poached Halibut, delicious. It is so difficult to serve fish cold, this was our fav. Thank you Alex aka Mischa and thank you manager Ying & our server Dante!

I was disappointed in the hot dog and the caesar salad but my guest loved her halibut. The prix fixe menu is well priced and the decor was understated and in good taste.
