Welcome to Monument
Monument Restaurant & Tavern, a Charlestown staple, is a lively home base for guests to enjoy creative comfort food, rotating craft beer, a thoughtful wine list, and inventive, refreshing cocktails. As Charlestown’s neighborhood spot, Monument boasts a warm, rustic dining room and bar, a seasonal sidewalk patio, and takeout and delivery options seven days a week.

The rustic yet chic interior complements their menu of the same caliber. Wood-fired pizza, lemon-rosemary chicken wings, kung pao Brussels sprouts, and gnocchi bolognese are just a few of the favorite options. Not to mention, our weekend brunch is a hit with Bostonians near and far, with featuring lemon and poppyseed buttermilk pancakes and our signature "Cinnamon Toast Brunch" cocktail.

Monument serves brunch, lunch, dinner and is open late and has a lengthy draught beer, cocktail and wine menu.

We went for brunch. Food and service were excellent. The menu has something for everyone and the ambiance was cozy and friendly.

Always a favorite, I brought my friend here for the first time to celebrate her birthday before attending a concert and it didn’t disappoint. We had a wonderful server, the food was fast and delicious, the value was great and they gained a new fan in my friend. A great spot for a weeknight outing with friends or special event.

Food is great. My husband had a pint of Guinness & it was perfectly poured. (Not everyone can. Which takes away from the pint). Frankie was our server. She was lovely, gave us plenty of time to read the menu & to make a decision. Frankie was knowledgeable, well versed on the menu. Food is always good at monument. By having Frankie it was much better!! I hope we’re lucky enough to sit in her station!

Had a great brunch with my cousin. It’s a fun, happening place with good food. A little loud so I wouldn’t bring my mom but will definitely come back with friends.

Saturday evening. Too busy. Staff was overwhelmed. We arrived 5 min early for a 5:45 PM reservation. We were seated at 6:05 (20 minute wait). Were served drinks and dinner within 12 minutes and paid the bill at 6:47. Much too rushed. Prices are slightly expensive, but the food was very good. They do a huge take-out biz.

Great, cheery servers. Most of what we ordered was nice, although the pizza was terrific. Incredibly loud place, though.
