Morton’s of Chicago, The Steakhouse is located on the 4th floor of the prestigious Shanghai ifc mall. The 400-seat restaurant is the world’s largest Morton’s restaurant to date. It features nine private dining suites fully equipped with audio-visual facilities, plus two additional private rooms for Cigar and Wine connoisseurs. Private alfresco dining is available on the terrace with a view of Shanghai’s famous Oriental Pearl Tower. Located in the new business district of Lujiazui, Morton’s Shanghai is on the doorsteps of multinational corporations both international and Chinese.     We attended for the third year in a row to celebrate my birthday. We got a table at a window as requested ( very few customers there ) but it was not a good view, just looking at the mall. Not nearly as good as the past two years. Their food is always good and we enjoyed it. What’s missing is a desert to celebrate my birthday. They chose to try and give a teddy bear ….. this might be ok for children but not a 70 year old man. On my first visit for my birthday a couple years ago, I got a free drink and a cake. Hope they see this and take my comments as suggestions and honest comments, not criticism.

    I am a regular at Morton’s in Chicago, Joe’s Prime in Chicago and Vegas, various Del Frisco’s for business dinners and never left a bad review in my life. If I could have left a -1 star I would have. Other than the view sitting outside, I wouldn’t take my dog to this place. Restaurant was totally empty in Shanghai on a Thursday night. Should have known better. Steaks were terrible, I mean TERRIBLE. Avoid at all costs.

    It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the staff was kind, and they even printed a photo of us for an anniversary card. It was a special evening.
