   Nice Matin never disappoints. A wonderful atmosphere - from the visuals to the sound level. Excellent service. Terrific menu with sensible food portions. This restaurant is always on the top of my choice list. And I travel in from Brooklyn. Brunch, lunch or dinner it is always a treat.

   Three of us enjoyed our meal very much: excellent mussels, nice hummus to start, lovely rosé wine. Unfortunately the fourth member of our party did not like the “fried” lamb dish that was one of special “forgotten” dishes from Nice that the chef presented. Nobody expects fried lamb. You can do chicken or veal piccata, veal Milanese, even fried liver and fried eggs. People should be warned that this “new/old” dish is fried, as in, DEEP fried. Our waitresss, Vanessa, was wonderful. Professional, efficient, and she solved the lamb problem by getting something else for our guest. Enrique was equally charming when he helped when her shift ended. (He has a nice sense of humor.) This one-off disappointment will not drive us away from this otherwise reliable and enjoyable spot, especially since they are willing to accommodate people who cannot endure loud spaces.

    Our second visit to Nice Matin. Amanda provided us with wonderful service and was very kind and professional. The shrimp beignets were fresh, piping hot and delicious. For entrees we enjoyed the steak and bronzing. Lovely chocolate souffle for dessert. We’ll be back to this lovely atmospheric restaurant
