Located off of Sand Lake Road, along the city's famed "Restaurant Row", NORMAN’S was recently voted BEST Restaurant in the 2024 Readers Choice Dining Awards by Orlando Magazine. Also named as the TOP Florida Restaurant in 2024 by Southern Living Magazine!

Norman Van Aken is a restaurateur, chef, author, and James Beard recipient of “Who’s Who in America" regarded as the “Founder” of New World Cuisine.”

Our restaurant offers a creative culinary and mixology experience, including an extensive wine list. We offer our main dining room, two private dining rooms, and our interior bar/lounge. Our elegant, covered Terrace offers alfresco dining, with live music on Friday nights, & a DJ on Friday/Saturday.

HAPPY HOUR: Every Day 5:00- 7:00PM, $10 Cocktails, $8 wines by the glass & various Tapas creations.

Food was mediocre at best for the price. Service was unfortunately terrible. I hate to blame the server specifically but the whole place looked unorganized and overwhelmed. Had to ask several times for wine lists, menus and so on. Food took almost an hour to get out to us. All around unpleasant experience.

I'll start with the positives. The waiter was attentive and the sommelier had an intense love of wine that he wanted to share with guests. The service of food was faster than expected, it was our guess that was from how much prep was done in advance, not what you want from a restaurant of this caliber. The rest, however, felt like the last days of a once-great chef. The parking lot was empty and inside we were one of 3 tables. This also might explain how attentive the staff was. The chef's tasting that was brought out to welcome us was a bit heavy on the mayonnaise but bursting with flavor. Most everything else was a monotone of butter and cream. If cooking was painting, this was an all beige room. What wasn't finished in butter or cream was blanched or poached that way. The Yucca stuff shrimp was beautiful in its' description but overcooked and flavorless. The tomahawk pork chop, also flavorless, was half fat and overcooked. The accompanying rice with that dish was flavorless and tasted as though it was made days ago. The scallops were another missed opportunity, swimming in an unseasoned pool. As evidenced with the tuna crudo appetizer, there is so much to be done with flavor and sad when the first resort is butter on all other dishes. This was our anniversary, so it was a huge disappointment. I was really hoping to dazzle my wife with culinary brilliance given all that I'd heard about Chef Norman.

Great experience for an anniversary celebration. We had the “retro” tasting menu with wine pairings. Every course was outstanding and the wine pairings were of very high quality perfectly matched to each course. Service was excellent.

My first time dining experience here started as a drive by and drop in. It was a great experience start to finish and one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!

Norman’s is a 10/10 experience! From the impeccable service of our server to the high-quality recommendations of our Somalia, Norman‘s stands above the rest! Norman’s is not an inexpensive meal, but if you value the highest quality service and food experience, the Norman’s is the place for you! My wife and I go regularly and certainly on special occasions!

We dined here for our anniversary while on a trip to Disney. The service was fantastic as was the food. Best steak I’ve ever had!! But the music…oh she was amazing. We were told it was the first time she had performed indoors and it was due to the cold weather and no seating on the patio. I say keep her indoors! It was so lovely to listen to her soothing voice while eating.

Autumn gave excellent service as well as the sommelier Asher. Christina the AGM was very welcoming and made sure we had the best experience. Highly recommend this place to all my friends and family. If you looking for excellent service and friendly staff this is the place for you.
