Oeste is a 100 seat bar and kitchen with a rooftop deck, located in the heart of Old Oakland. At Oeste, we are committed to providing an inviting and inclusive atmosphere, offering food for the soul, and pouring the highest quality spirits, wines and beers. We offer exemplary dishes by focusing on fresh, organic and sustainably farmed ingredients, fusing California cuisine with Latin, Southern and Asian influences.     I have been here twice and both times I ordered the fried catfish and red beans and rice OMG GUUD FOOD. The live music and atmosphere is wassup. Keep it up Oeste.

    The DJ music mix was off that night. Had to wait some time to place order. I think there was a shortage of staff, but the food is always excellent. We love the restaurant besides that.

    It was a beautiful Oakland Saturday night - 80 degrees at least and the place wasn't slammed - too bad. Great roof deck with lovely plantings and space. Some misses on the food (kale caesar without any kale, drinks came after the salad was gone) but the fish tacos were pretty good. Hubby loved his drink (a citrusy bourbon concoction) and mine was good.
