At Old Wharf, we stand in the historical location of former jetties, piers, homes and taverns from where, since the 1800s colourful traders, merchandisers, exporters and explorers have shipped Tassie’s renowned produce across the globe.
Chef Simon Pockran and his team acknowledge this history by creating a menu that celebrates and explores Tasmania’s traditional family dishes. Reimagined and refined, this menu gives the nod to our past while championing our celebrated produce and boutique Tasmania growers.
Our full breakfast package consists of one hot a la carte dish with up to three sides, access to our bountiful continental buffet selection, and a barista-made beverage. On the buffet, freshly-baked pastries, cured meats and soft cheeses, sliced fruit and yoghurt, cereals, bread and spreads unfurl before our open kitchen, to go with your chosen meal.

Join us in Old Wharf Restaurant in MACq 01 Hotel, overlooking the Hobart waterfront, for the final meal of 2024. Chef Alvin Sim and his kitchen team have prepared a set menu centred around iconic Tasmanian fare to wean you off the year. Our sitting times will allow you to be in and out before the slated evening firework displays, which launch from only metres away, our early sitting starting at 6pm and second sitting commencing from 8:15pm.
Our three-course set menu is priced at $165 per person, inclusive of a drink on arrival. Sitting times are strictly 2 hours. All dietaries will be considered provided they are noted at the time of booking.
