Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. The sashimi was very fresh. It was perfect for a quiet dinner with attentive service yet comfortable and not stuffy.

Was an amazing experience. Everything was great. Have all of the hand rolls when we go out. Tom and the team are hospitality professionals.

Omai is a true gem in Toronto! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Each dish was beautifully prepared, capturing the essence of authentic Japanese flavors. The restaurant is small and cozy, adding to the charm and making it feel like a little escape from the city. The staff was so warm and friendly, making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate, quality Japanese dining experience!

I recently tried the tasting menu, and overall, it was a great experience. However, one thing that bothered me was the lobster udon course—my friend found a few shells in the dish, which wasn’t ideal, especially given the price. I understand the chef hand-picks the lobster, but it’s still unpleasant to encounter shells in the meal. That said, I really enjoyed dining here. The dessert was amazing—Crème brûlée with ice cream, topped with yuzu jam and red bean. It was so delicious! The uni on toast was also a highlight. I’d still recommend this place despite the small hiccup.

Tasting menu was amazing and the house sake complimented the food perfectly! Would recommend for couples, groups of 2-4, and for special occassion!

It was a lovely experience! The people were warm and welcoming, the restaurant is cozy and the vibes were good. Most importantly the food was AMAZING. My family and I chose the Tasting Menu and each dish they put out was memorable and the flavors are so good! I can’t believe it was only $88?? It was so fresh and flavorful.
