   Our family is so sad that Omega Ouzeri is shuttering its doors after all these years of providing amazing Greek cuisine on Capitol Hill. From El Greco to Vios to Omega Ouzeri, Tomas and his talented staff have always delivered on quality and have made an indelible mark on my family’s culinary experiences.    I am sad to say Omega Ouzeri is closing! The food was always fabulous, the staff were courteous and really made efforts to get to know us and make us feel welcome. Xenia was practiced very well! This last week has been super busy at the restaurant, and very loud - people are enjoying their last visits. Wishing the owners and staff the best of luck!

   Lovely delicious dinner as always! Joyful lively atmosphere, everyone so happy and lucky to have a seat in Omega Ouzeri’s last days before Chef Tomás retires and moves back to Greece, and to celebrate him and his decades of feeding Seattle so well

   The food is sublime and the service is impeccable. The only place in Seattle I tip 25% or more. A true gem. The owner is retiring and their last day of service is January 31, 2024. It will be sorely missed!

    I'll start off with the great; The wine list was excellent, and 100% Greek. Great selections from just about every region of the country and for decent prices.considering. Now the bad: Seattle isn't necessarily known for Greek food by any account but I was really shocked by the lack of flavor and creativity in the food. What was supposed to be their house special fish that everyone should have - Was essentially a $42 per lb gimmick where they poorly filet the fish in front of you at your table. Cool trick but it didn't mask the mediocre preparation of the fish itself. And it was pretty dry to boot. Service was very meh - the restaurant was half full and the entire time he seemed like he was struggling to keep up. Both the tables next to us who shared the same waiter had issues with their order and we weren't able to even order our bottle of wine until about 25 mins after being seated. Maybe we just got one of the weaker links on the staff. The decor was that uninviting characterless modern-chic that is ever so popular these days and even our table wobbled like it was uncomfortable in its resting place (and thats just the design of the table, and unfortunately they're wobbly we were told). For such high ratings and high prices, this is unfortunately one of those "Instagrammy" places with high prices and forgettable food that you can skip and save your money.
