Standing out from the crowd, our 400-seater restaurant is housed in a grand Grade II listed building featuring a distinct neoclassical Greek façade and mixes an industrial look with a touch of opulence inside. Opera Grill brings theatre on a grand scale to Chester. At the heart of our menu is the theatre charcoal grill and wood-burning ovens, inspired by revered chefs and restaurants from around the world. The entertainment continues in a first-floor Music Gallery featuring a stage set for live acts every Friday, and a mix of soulful classics performed by our gospel choir every Sunday.
The distinctive spaces in Opera Grill are all available for hire for meetings, conferences and special events with bespoke menus and entertainment packages.

We have limited disabled access, the 1st floor and terrace is not wheelchair accessible.

    Amazing night at the Opera Grill! Everything was outstanding. The food was delicious, the best fillet steak I have had in a long time. The service was friendly and the waiter was brilliant, gave recommendation on food and drink. The manager came and introduced himself, excellent service. We booked our meal in the music lounge and the band were fantastic. We live over 6 hours away from Chester, but would definitely visit again and highly recommend for the food and the whole experience.

    It was a splendid experience, loved the Gospel Sunday choir, food was great! Service was so awesome and the ambience was 10/10 ..staff were amazing and helpful

    Faultless service from Esther, excellent care taken over allergies and a really good range of steak cuts. Oscar the sommelier was a great conversationalist, an expert in his field and had taken the time to know the history of the building itself, which was fascinating. Between them they made our wedding anniversary meal truly special.

    Gospel Sunday is great but food is far too expensive. Menu needs to be more like the menu in the main restaurant instead of a set menu. Needs more choice didn’t see any gluten free options.

    Excellent service. Our waitress Gemima was excellent. Very attentive and constantly checking that we had everything we needed. The whole experience was fantastic. We have been several times before and would recommend to all our friends . We will definitely be going g again very soon.

    We love the Gospel music and choir. Been a few times with friends. Service from Annie was exceptional. She’s so warm and friendly. Booked again for 15th December for 8 of us!

    We visited Opera Grill for Gospel Sunday for my Mum’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic. Our waiter was lovely and made my Mum’s celebration all the more special. The Gospel singers and band were wonderful. A really special afternoon. Thank you.
