Danilo Orofino was born in Palermo, Sicily, where he studied the culinary arts as well as restaurant and hotel management. He opened his first restaurant/coffee bar in Sicily at the age of 18. After 4 years of hard work, he closed the place with dreams of doing even more with his life.

We tried Orofino’s during restaurant week. The food exceeded our expectations. I had the special(photo description attached) and it was delicious. My husband had the eggplant parm which was excellent. We started with the calamari…perfection, lightly fried with a light marinara sauce. We ended with a shared tiramisu that rounded out our meal perfectly. Our server was lovely and the owner came by to check on us as well. Great find! Get your reservation in early!!

Another wonderful meal at Orofino. The salmon dish was outstanding and Adam again went above and beyond to accommodate us. How lucky we are to have this outstanding restaurant in Fredericksburg.

An outstanding meal. I don't often have a chance to take my mom to dinner, and Orfinos is the place to go. Our meal was delicious, the cocktails were perfect, and the service was spot/on. What more could you ask for?

Rockfish special wonderful! Friend had the beef short ribs, a lot of meat. The risotto that accompanies it was awesome. Food great at this restaurant and never disappoints.

Best short ribs I have ever eaten in the regional special menu. Pasta was cooked perfectly on tagliatelle al ragu and eggplant dish. The Cab Sauv wine pairing suggested to us was also the perfect choice. This is one our favorites downtown. We have never had a bad meal at Orofino and we will be back.

We had a wonderful dinner enjoying the chefs choice for restaurant week! Initially upon seating the waiter didn’t take our drink order- we sat for about 5-10 min. But once returned, took our drink order and everything went smooth. The dinner specials were outstanding!

Many choices, NEVER had a bad meal at Orofino's. The wait staff are very congenial, knowledgeable and attentive.
