Ounce Bar & Kitchen Worcester, formerly The Marwood, is a cosy spot for excellent food and drink. The team behind the wheel are all Worcester locals themselves thus they strive to make Ounce Bar & Kitchen a place where the community can gather and rest assured of nothing but quality coming from the kitchen, whether at lunch or for dinner. You’ll find Ounce Worcester right on The Tything in Barbourne, not far from The Pitchcroft and just a few minutes up the road from Worcester Foregate Street train station. Overall our dining experience was excellent. We felt a little rushed as we were running a little late, wasn’t aware that the table was being turned around so quickly. Our steaks were stunning! Our first waitress could have been more helpful and polite, but the male waiter which took over later was excellent and added to our di big experience. He moved a group of men that were near the entrance and were quite noisy. We well come back!

I booked a certain tabe which was confirmed,upon arrival it had not been communicated. I then had to request a quiet table,we we're moved twice. The restaurant was not that busy but I had to go to the bar for service. We we're asked for any sauces for our Aubrey ribeye steaks *£25.00) each..I asked for a Bernaise which I thought quite basic for a competent chef with the business promoting their wonderful beef. Sauce request rejected. Our order came which was a nice cut but a silly bucket of Mccain type chips (some cold) with a non descript tiny salad spoilt our anticipation. The waitress was bubbly but not professional..So after all that,no starters or puds,pint and a half of coke and two pints ofcommon brand lagers, £77.00 was not good value. Bring back the Marwood!
