Portland's Oven and Shaker is a popular dining destination for locals and visitors who crave artisan pizzas and unique bar drinks served in a warm and inviting setting. The nettle pesto arancino rice ball made with parmesan risotto and mushrooms and the fried calamari and octopus fritto misto with lemon and honey make stunning starters. In addition to traditional pizza choices, like margherita and bianca, Oven and Shaker crafts specialty pizzas, like the maple pig topped with apple butter, smoked ham, pork belly and maple mascarpone, the goat cheese topped with roasted leeks, prosciutto and aged balsamic and the vegetarian cauliflower topped with peppers, olives and cheese. Accompanying your pizza with a craft beer or cocktail, like the pineapple trainwreck made with rum, lemon, pineapple and ginger syrup, is a winning idea.For a sweet finale, enjoy Oven and Shaker's homemade mint chocolate stracciatella gelato.

                                                                            We had reservations and were sat immediately. Lackluster service; not horrible, but not attentive. The menu choices, appys, salads, and pizzas were quite delicious and well made. Not excessively noisy, overall a pleasant noise level. The restaurant has nice lighting and a warm feel. Not inexpensive; however, reasonably priced considering what we got for the money. We would return.

                                                                            Excellent pizza, wonderful cocktails, nice ambiance. Our only criticism is that twice when we have dined with reservations for 7:30 pm, while finishing our meal close to 9:00 ( closing time ), they turn the lights up, start sweeping the floor and turn stools up. We didn’t mind waiting to sit at our reserved table until 8:00 both times but would rather not feel “rushed” to leave right at 9:00. Otherwise, can’t say enough about the excellent food!

                                                                            We enjoyed ourselves here. The food - salad & pizza - and drinks were wonderful. The place is lit to my liking - not too bright and dim enough to still see the food & drink. It's a younger crowd so was a little loud for me since I'm a Gen X but not off putting to not return for the good food and service🤙🏽

                                                                            I shared the special pizza of the night and I think it was the best pizza I have ever had in your restaurant. It has dried figs, blue cheese, fontina, arugula, green onions, mozzarella and carmelized onions on it. This pizza was perfection - bravo chef! I also had the crispy chick peas to start. What a great hit of protein. The service was very good and it was an enjoyable start to my evening!

                                                                            Food was great. Plenty to share. The beet salad was delicious. We tried three pizzas (nightshade, pepperoni, and the fig special). All were fantastic. Drinks were also well done and the service was prompt and friendly.
