    TL:DR --> Go early. Great for small groups. Service is slow due to staff shortages. The quality of sushi is excellent for a small mountain town. Made a reservation for a group of 8 people for 7:45pm. We were told the table would be ready in 15 minutes. It wasn't ready until 8:15pm. (Their reservation Terms say this can happen, so plan on it). We ordered sake and a beer. The beer never came. We ordered sushi to share and asked the server if she thought it would be enough — she confidently confirmed it would be. 30 minutes later the food starts to arrive. We tuck in. It's not nearly enough. We ask to order more but were informed the kitchen was closed, but, they make us one more yam roll. A "Last call!" would have made the difference.

    Excellent service. Incredible sushi, but SO expensive now. A cocktail is $18, bottle of Japanese beer (355ml) $14 🤯 specialty sushi rolls start at over $20 each. Adds up fast.

    The “new” Oya is fabulous! The interior is updated, the service is friendly and the food was fabulous!! We’ll definitely be back!

    Excellent food and worth the price. Beer and other drinks are too expensive but that's the only downside. Kids loved the Japanese soda pop!

    Only Sushi in town, but don’t think that means it isn’t some of the best Sushi you’ve ever had. I’ve had Sushi at many renowned establishments around the world and can honestly say that the sushi from Oya Sun Peaks is as good as any I’ve tasted.
