   2025.04.12 - Me and my date sat out back on the deck and it was very quiet this time of year in mid April. Not a lot of tourists just yet. Beautiful sunset, brought a small blanket for the missus to stay warm from the beach wind. Wonderful lighting and propane deck heaters were available. Had steaks. She had the filet mignon and I had the ribeye. Got the broccolini and mushroom adders to go with it. All were wonderful. Whole dinner for two with a bottle of wine was about $250. Definitely a special occasion restaurant.

   Everything here is great…service, food, drinks…and it should be 5 star. But it is soooo loud. So very, very loud. There are no soft services to absorbed the noise. I think if they just put in a couple of rugs and maybe window treatments it would really help. There was a saxophone player there the night we were there. It was really nice except that it was so L. O. U. D. We were on the opposite side of the restaurant and still could not hear each other at our table. There was an obnoxious Guest that was so loud. I wanted to go home. He was crazy loud. Everyone at our table was commenting on how loud he was. I’ll still go back because it’s great but it’s super loud.

   Great hostess, bartenders and service was good. Food was underwhelming, especially considering the price.

   Great dining experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left everyone treated us to a fabulous night out. The food was excellent and the cocktails were amazing. We will definitely be back.

   We were disappointed by our dinner at Perch. For one, our server was in no way warm or friendly. She was "stern" in her interactions with us, and seemed personally disappointed when we declined alcohol or dessert with our meal. My husband ordered a shrimp & okra dish, which had an extremely fishy smell, and which I would have sent back, questioning whether it was spoiled. The rest of our group ordered steak. Two of us ordered the fillet mignon and were very specific about how we liked it cooked. It came out with a dark burnt crust on the outer portion and was so tough that we had to cut it up in extremely tiny pieces to chew it. Also disappointing was that the meal came with NO SIDES, other than a squirt of "pea puree" (yuk) and some type of tasteless mushroom strip. No thank you! The warm bread was the most pleasant part of our meal. Lesson learned - high end doesn't always mean highly satisfied! This restaurant/menu/staff needs work!

   Filet overcooked, oysters very good. Pretty pricy overall don’t mind spending money on a great meal but this was just ok

   Great food, views, and service! My only tiny complaint is that maybe the hotel pool is below the restaurant and the children screaming threw off the overall vibes of the patio. I would just sit inside in the future to avoid this!

   Beautiful setting. The service is attentive but not overwhelming. The food from appetizers to entrees to desserts was excellent. The drinks were top shelf. Thanks for a great evening.

   We were a little skeptical because it is part of the state park lodge, but everything was lovely. We first had espresso martini (which were terrific) at the bar. The staff was friendly and there was a live jazz soloist inside. We sat outside on a nice big patio overlooking the ocean. There are two lounge areas with fire pits that looked nice, but we sat at a table. We ordered the seafood tower, octopus, scallops and rock fish gnocchi for everyone to share. All of it was absolutely delicious—like really delicious!! Our server was really nice, too. Great experience and will definitely come back—I need to try the coconut margarita after all!

    Service: Hospitable and professional Food: Clever, eclectic and delicious Ambience: Modern chic. Dining alfresco overlooking the Gulf-what’s not to like? Why 4 stars? Guess I would like to see a more extensive menu. Maybe some more traditional entrees with unique flavors. Tonight for example, there was red snapper on the menu but it was a whole fish and fried. An additional snapper offering-say grilled with an amazing sauce would have been welcome.

We're sorry to hear that the snapper dish did not meet your expectations, we do offer a Gulf Fish on the menu with a Lemon Dill Veloute. That night, it was Cobia and we understand that is not as traditional as Snapper or Grouper. We look forward to welcoming you back to Perch for another memorable dining experience.
