This was my second visit to your restaurant. The first time, I celebrated my husband’s birthday, and the experience was brilliant. The service, especially from Hana, was excellent, making me want to return.
However, today’s service was disappointing. I came to celebrate my third wedding anniversary, but the experience fell short. Our assigned server was busy, so we waited. Another server approached and took our order instead.
The steak I wanted was sold out, so I chose another. However, the server didn’t ask about doneness or sauce—he decided himself and simply asked if it was okay. When we tried ordering an extra side, he stopped us, saying it was too much. While I understand concerns about waste, the choice should be ours.
The biggest issue came when our food arrived. I ordered clam pasta but received prawn pasta. The staff member serving it was kind and helped correct the mistake. A few minutes later, the manager apologized and assured us the correct pasta would be ready soon. However, the server who took our order insisted he hadn’t made a mistake and that no apology was needed.
Hearing that, with no remorse, was shocking. We immediately addressed our concerns with the manager, who seemed genuinely sorry and offered the pasta as a goodwill gesture. However, what we truly wanted was a sincere apology—not a free dish.
This left a bad impression on what was supposed to be a special dinner. I strongly suggest retraining this staff member on proper service and professionalism. What we paid for was not a fast-food experience—and honestly, even fast-food service is often better. If we visit again, we’d prefer not to be served by him until he apologizes.
