Situated in the heart of Cheshire and boasting the stunning Tatton Park on it’s doorstep, historic Knutsford is undisputedly one of Cheshire’s prettiest villages.     Staff were not friendly or happy when interacting. We had to ask for water on the table which didn’t arrive until we asked again. The food was average and not good value for money. My pasta was stale and it had been left on the pass for too long before arriving on my table. We went downstairs for a cocktail afterwards and the lady only made the cocktail half way full in glass, so I had to kindly ask for her top this up to make it full. £14 cocktail half way full is not acceptable - she was rude and dismissive. This is usually my go to place in Knutsford but it has gone down hill massively. Its such a shame as a long time customer I’m writing this. I will not be going again and I will not recommend to anyone. Bad experience, overpriced, poor customer service.

To address your concerns, our team works hard to provide attentive service, but it seems we missed the mark with the water on this occasion. Our team checked back during your meal, and no issues with the pasta were raised at the time. We’ll still review your comments to ensure quality is maintained. The cocktail was happily remade for you, and our price for the cocktail you have ordered is £10.45, not £14. We aim to serve drinks to spec and will address your concerns with the team.     Food and service fantastic . Lovely setting and will return again and again . However £34 for the cheapest bottle of wine and £22 for lasagne is a little pricey .
