Liverpool is, of course, the city famed for being the birthplace of The Beatles, but there’s so much more to the city than just that. Liverpool boasts stunning architecture, vibrant nightlife, and the buzzing district of Alberts Dock which is packed with galleries, museums, bars and restaurants. Piccolino, an authentic Italian Restaurant, is a proud fixture of the Liverpool dining scene. Piccolino is located on Cook Street and boasts an open kitchen and a small but perfectly formed alfresco terrace.
Italy’s diverse cuisine is the heart and soul of Piccolino. We visit the regions, meet the producers and are committed to sourcing the best quality ingredients.     Nothing at all like the picolino in Manchester. Very tired looking restaurant and old fashioned. We had a table for 2 but were practically on top of a table of 20 at a Xmas meal so couldn’t hear our own conversation as the other table were so noisey. Lighting was terrible as well, had a spot light in my face which I did ask them to redirect it but didn’t really improve at all. Asked to move but they couldn’t move us for half an hour so stayed where we were. Food was average ordered the chateaubriand which was absolutely ridiculous as the price was £80 for 2 and all we received was 2 and a half very small slices of steak, definitely not good value for money and will not be returning , very disappointing.

    A planned shopping lunch. We were guided to the special Xmas set menu. Enjoyed it all . Staff were very good and a nice ambiance overall.

    I booked a table for 830 and didn’t get seated until 910. Waiting for a table downstairs to become available but I did put on my reservation wheelchair access so I think it’s appalling I waited that long for a table. If people were overstaying their reservation they should have got asked to move to the bar

It was an exceptionally busy Saturday, and several guests had requested tables downstairs, where seating is limited. When you arrived, our team did inform you there was a wait, but we understand and regret that this fell short of your expectations, especially given your request for wheelchair-accessible seating. We always strive to accommodate all our guests, and in situations where tables are delayed, we do our best to manage the flow while ensuring everyone feels welcomed. We will review our processes to better handle similar situations in the future and make adjustments where needed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    I was lucky enough to sit at the bar. I had a wonderful dinner. The bartender was not very friendly, but also a great mixologist! One of the best martinis I've ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Great service. Never felt rushed.

    We ate at 2045, which I know is late. But my lasagne looked like it had just been thrown in a bowl, basically the last of the days bake. It was eatable but presentation was poor

    Lovely setting. The service was fantastic. Quite busy and noisy but it was a Saturday night.
