Italian Restaurant& wine bar in Sarasota. Where you are a stranger only once.
His philosophy served him well with his previous Sarasota businesses. Café Gabbiano located on Siesta Key was originated by the Migliaccio family in 2003 where is four sons grew in and out of the restaurant business.
A second venture in downtown Sarasota was opened and designed by Pietro in 2012 named Casantica, a small old house converted to a quaint homey restaurant. Both restaurants are now under new ownership.
Now, this small intimate place is where I can have fun serving and meeting new friends. Benvenuti.

Truly the best Italian food in The state of Florida. We have been a few times and we are from Massachusetts/RI line. We have some amazing Italian restaurants here at home. Pietro’s is way on top of the list. We go to Florida on purpose sometimes just to go to Pietros. Susan the owner is amazing and kind. Nothing bad to say because there really isn’t anything bad. From the moment we walk in to the moment we left. Top notch service.

First visit and hopefully not the last. Great food, wine selection and service. Several signature dishes and daily specials.

Pietro, the chef/owner, is from Naples, as in Naples, Italy. He has brought with him family recipes that form the base of the best Italian restaurant in the Sarasota area. The extensive menu is capped by a frequent special of a tomahawk veal chop. He has an extensive wine collection that includes Italian imports under his own label. He effortlessly floats between the kitchen and the floor of the restaurant throughout the evening with his effusive personality. This no doubt inspires his wife, Susan, who hosts fantastically, as well as the entire staff (Joanna, Wendy, Alejandro, Ivo and others). A dinner at Pietro’s is guaranteed to be a special night.

Don't miss Pietro"s! Small place in strip mall with fabulous food and even better service. Both Pietro and his wife visited the tables and were so gracious. Servers worked as a team, so you always had attentioon. Spaghetti carbonara was delicious and the lobster ravioli was fantastic. A wonderful place to eat, be sure to have a reservation,

I enjoy the chicken and veal dishes. My friend ordered the veal shank special for the day.,since most entrees were priced in the high twenties to mid thirties, he was quite surprised at the $62 price for the special. The veal shank was a bounty of deliciously prepared morsels, enough for two and superb risotto was included. For us price was not an issue, but I suggested that he inquired about prices for daily specials.

Pietro's is a warm restaurant with delicious food. We enjoyed the food, the service offered by Wendy and the others who made our experience a delightful evening. The owner/chef always stops by the tables to chat.
