Under Chef David Lee, PLANTA is dining as it should be- an un-guilty pleasure. Created in 2016, PLANTA is a celebration of delicious and innovative plant-based cuisine served in a beautifully designed space, without pretension and with an overflow of good vibes. PLANTA Bethesda offers signatures like Ahi Watermelon Nigiri and Bang Bang Broccoli while expanding on the plant-powered menu, offering even more in the way of Sushi, Pizza, sustainably-crafted cocktails, and more. 2nd and FINAL time I will visit this location. The waiter was not kind at all. He walked up and asked what we wanted..no “hello, I’m xyz and will be your waiter what can I get for you” type vibe. But the people to left of us got ALL the giggles and introductions. This being in a mostly white neighborhood the service given to white patrons from this specific waiter was beyond disheartening. If it’s not the guests there being weird towards POC it’s the staff. Will NOT come here to be treated unfairly. Especially if I’m paying $100+ for it.

Planta is one of our go to places for brunch. Always great food and service. We get the bang bang broccoli every time. We will definitely be back again.

The host had us waiting until she gave away multiple bags for delivery of people who were not even waiting in line. The appetizers were not properly ordered and were delivered in the middle of the meal A drink was not delivered until the middle of the meal Entrees came out one by one with large gaps of time in between Food was just ok, certainly not worth the price Poor explanation of what was happening. I’ll never eat there again

The atmosphere was relaxing and pretty. Lots of attention to detail. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the food was creative and delicious
