Under Chef David Lee, PLANTA is dining as it should be – an unguilty pleasure. Created in 2016, PLANTA is a celebration of delicious and innovative plant-based cuisine served in a beautifully-designed space, without pretension and with an overflow of good vibes. PLANTA Queen River North features signatures like Ahi Watermelon Nigiri and Bang Bang Broccoli while expanding plant-powered horizons with ceviche, dumplings, noodles, sustainably-crafted cocktails, and more. We were absolutely delighted with everything. The staff was helpful and very kind while being totally unobtrusive- a difficult thing to do. Excellent food for everyone - non-vegan or vegetarian friends won’t miss a thing. We will definitely be back again. Hopefully soon!

Planta Queen is seriously one of my favorites. I am not plant-base, vegan or vegetarian but I have family and friends that are, it’s actually how I got introduced. The food is insanely awesome. The service is wonderful and the restaurant is stunning. I go with many friends now that have no idea what it is or why we are going and they now are huge fans.

Great experience overall! Recommended for all vegetarians and all wanting to try some vegetarian meals! (although I eat fake meat only very rarely)

Planta is very lovely. The menu has a little of everything and you won’t miss the meat. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered two appetizers and a sushi roll to share which was more than enough. Half the roll was wrapped up to bring home. Of course, there’s always room for dessert so we had the warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. Delicious!

Second time back - must have been an off day for the entire staff (day after christmas). a dish that i’ve had before, at this location and at ATL, was lacking the key flavor component.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Chicago. And I’ve brought many non-vegan and non-vegetarians who love it as much as I do simply because the food tastes good! I usually start with bang bang broccoli and add several great rolls for the table. ⭐️✨

Andrew is the friendliest most helpful person!! Honestly everyone who works at Planta is so kind!! We loved the power lunch special and hope it comes back soon!! Every dish is amazing! Dragon roll is a “must order,” each visit!! So are the udon noodles and sushi burritos!! Overall Planta is food heaven for all but especially if you are vegan ( my family isn’t vegan and still loves it)!!! Eat junky or healthy it scrumptious!!!!

This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly smiles. Our server was AMAZING, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every need was met with enthusiasm and professionalism. The drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were refreshing and expertly crafted, adding a delightful touch to our dining experience. Each course was a culinary delight, showcasing a blend of flavors and textures that left us eagerly anticipating the next dish. Every bite was extremely satisfying, highlighting the chef's creativity and attention to detail. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all our friends, whether they follow a vegan diet or not. It's rare to find a place that excels in every aspect of the dining experience, but this restaurant has truly set a high standard. We can't wait to return and enjoy another unforgettable meal.
