    Foods are great. The restaurant is too new and the service arrangement needs improvement. Michelin star chef Tony Yoo is super friendly.

    Left a family event in Sacramento early to make our 715 reservations. Got there 630pm and checked in. Was told fully booked and cannot seat early which is fine. Even though the place had many empty tables. 715 came back and got seated. Was then told the left side of menu is not available. Which was all the main dishes. We looked at what was on the right side and picked a few items. We really wanted to try tasting menu. Waiter then tells us what other items was no longer available. Which ended up being the items we wanted. We left I understand newly open. But you also knew month ahead of time the amount of people making reservations. To not offer full menu from a Michelin star chef is kinda poor planning. Either order enough supplies or warn patrons of a limited menu ahead of time. I cancelled another reservation in a few weeks and won’t go back until they get their act together.

    We were excited to be able to secure a reservation during opening weekend. However after being checked in and shown our table, the experience declined quickly The table we were placed was in the very back corner. You would think for showing off a new restaurant with plenty of tables available they would like to showcase the restaurant. After we were seated at 645pm, a waiter/waitress did not come over to greet or even take drinks until 7:24pm. A party was seated next to us and they were promptly take care of. Drinks and even bread; things we were not offered. The 2 waitresses in the area kept making eye contact with us but never came over. I finally got up and asked the hostess in the front to see if they can get someone to take our order. The waitress came and apologized they have been very busy, not to be rude, but I looked around and there was probably 15 tables occupied. We asked about the fixed menu, but was told everyone in the party needs to order. I asked why would 2 children need that? The hostess said it’s the chefs rule that children under 3 would be the exception. Then we were informed that none of the bbq options was available. At this point, I did not want to risk her walking away for an extended amount of time so we just ordered random items because we were hungry. The food; taste and presentation did not justify the price. I get it’s supposed to Michelin rated but none of the dishes was up to par. There was no flavor. The waitress came over and I was still drinking my soup, and asked if we were ready for our bill. The whole table was still eating. I was quite confused. We finally finished our meal and literally took 45 mins to get the waitress to acknowledge us and give our check. The table that came after us was gone. We were finally able to get her attention she asked if we wanted our check or needed more time. I asked to just let us pay now so we can leave. Looking at the check we were charged an extra 20% for party of 6, my party was 4.

    Half the menu was not available. They should have said it in the beginning before we were seated or print a big menu sign and show what items were not available

    A very disappointing experience. I figured for opening weekend things wouldn’t be perfect. However, I never imagined it would be this bad. After seeing the reviews for the first night I would have cancelled if it wasn’t for their cancellation policy. I figured we’d still go instead of paying the fee. Now when I read the reviews that people had their reservation cancelled I wished that happened to us - definitely would have been a blessing in disguise. Our reservation was for 6 pm and by that time more than half of the menu wasn’t available. This isn’t just a few items it really felt like most of the menu. There was no meat options to order unless we did the set menu (which we purposely avoided because of the reviews). The waiter didn’t even push us to order more (3 dishes for 2 people -wasn’t filling) probably because they knew they didn’t have the capacity. Felt like the only things that were available to order were things that were pre made as it tasted lukewarm. We got the soup and luckily that was piping hot though the rice wasn’t and didn’t feel soft. Food wasn’t bad per se but nothing to write home about. Honestly, for a restaurant they are aiming to be they should have informed customers ahead of time that the full menu wasn’t available and allow people the option to cancel/reschedule. They clearly weren’t ready to be open and yet had all these reservations they couldn’t fulfill. I imagine it would take months for them to work this out. Going into this we knew it would be on the pricier but after this dining experience (for what we got and price paid) - they lost the opportunity and we don’t foresee returning.

    Over half the menu was not available. No grilled foods, no seafood pancake, so many items not available. Could not be seated until entire party present. Parking was very difficult. Portions are small. Very stingy on rice. Water cups tiny. Worth trying but not worth returning. Lots of better Korean restaurants in Bay Area. No banchan either!

    Don’t eat here. Just don’t until they’re figured all their sh*t out. We paid nearly $300 for two people the chefs menu. It was 5 tiny courses, everything that should have been warm was cold. Nothing was substantial. It all tasted like it was prepared at a grocery store. The entree was a Korean spare rib. One spare RIB BONE. There was no meat on it whatsoever. The waitress was sweet, and her service was fast. But we were out of there in 30 mins. I cannot believe they expect people to pay that. What’s more, I read the reviews and tried to cancel the reservation bc there’s no contact number, no email address. Absolutely no way to contact the restaurant.

    A lot of food on the menu unavailable. They ran out of menus, only gave 1 per table, you have to wait and share it. Drinks took 1.5 hr due to only one bartender. But at least was comped. They didn’t anticipate the crowd on opening day. Very disappointing. Food was just ok, underwhelming. The saving grace were the servers, everyone worked with grace under pressure. Even if they forgot stuff they came back with a smile. They need to work on a lot of the kinks. Hopefully in time and add more food on your menu that will be available to order.

    Service: - Understandably, it was the first day so there would be some kinks here and there - but we did not have a server even greet us or bring us water after 20 minutes of being seated. We had to call someone over. Mind you, the restaurant was barely half full. - Took us a while to get our cocktails but were not communicated that one cocktail ran out of ingredients until we had to ask for it. - a bit of a nitpick but we did not get dessert spoons with our dessert. We had to seek out a different server to get us our dessert spoons Another nitpick, we wish the server described each course because we did not have the menu describing the food. Didn’t know what we were expecting. Food: - We ordered the Chefs Choice 5 Course Dinner for $95 and each course was underwhelming - With the four of us in the table, for each course, someone would always be missing an ingredient. - The flavors for the most part were underwhelming. 1. The pumpkin soup, a bit bland. 2. Seafood, the fermented sauce is good but the sashimi quality not fresh. I noticed the tuna specifically seemed to come from a frozen Saku, which is fine but not for a $95 menu. 3. The cold buckwheat noodles were fine. The sesame sauce was good but it was just a small portion. Again not what we expected from a $95 menu. 4. One of our guests had undercooked pork. 5. The dessert was fine Overall, we were wondering if we should’ve gotten a la carte instead because our table left hungry from how little food we got. Again, for $95, the food did not meet expectations. Maybe we will give Pogu another chance but after they work out the kinks.

    Whats good: The atmosphere, plating and seating were great. Waitress were friendly and did the best they could. Whats bad: Almost everything else. Please see the end for TL:DR. We arrived around 5:30PM for our 5:45PM reservation. There was already a line outside the restaurant but it was not immediate clear if those are waiting in line or already have a reservation. (Turned out they were not accepting walk-ins, so a few people wasted their time waiting) As today is the grand opening day, it is common for hicups and limited items from menu. So the expectation was already low. Upon seated we were told everything on the menu are out except SSAM, which was already disappointing. Furthermore, half of the options on SSAM menu were not available. We ended up ordering a single serving of bulgogi for the two of us to start off, with both paying $15/ea for SSAM. SSAM arrived after 10 minutes of wait, and it took another 3-4 mins for the bulgogi. Food quality was above average but nothing impressive. We were also told there are unlimited refill for our warp, but were told later on that they are out, so essentially we paid for 6 pieces of lettuce and 1 serving of bulgogi. At that point we both decided it is better to get food from nearby food court instead of staying. The bill for the lettece and bulgogi was $75... TLDR: Good atmosphere, friendly waitress, average food, awful planning and poor value for what you paid.
