Across the street from Independence Park in downtown Bristol, Portside Tavern offers amazing food, great live music 4 nights a week, 28 beers on tap, and an environment perfect for locals, families, and visitors.
Our kitchen staff is proud to offer a menu with house made new favorites like our BBQ Wonton Nachos, and old classics like our Fish and Chips and Prime Flat Iron Steak Frites. When in doubt, our Portside Burger is perfect.
Our staff is the best in town! Friendly, knowledgeable, and is excited to give each customer the very best dining experience!
We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a lively bar crowd till 1am, and don't miss our brunch (with bottomless mimosas and sangrias) on Saturday and Sunday mornings!

The food and service (Farah) were excellent! The noise level is usually high but that’s because so many people love Portside!

Great beer list. Lots of pubby sandwiches and meals. Warm atmosphere with fireplace going. We had the pretzel with dipping cheese again. Three soft, freshly baked pretzels the size of bratwursts along with a tub of tangy cheese to dip in. That’s what we really went for. I had a French Dip that actually has enough aujuis to last the whole sandwich. Spouse had a Fish Rubin which was really good but too much to finish after our pretzel.

The most consistent place in town! Always excellent food and even on a busy evening close to the holidays the staff was amazing, upbeat and attentive. We’ve been here many time (though usually for lunch when it’s quiet) and have had nothing but a great experience every time. Extra impressed that the quality remains so great even when every table is full.

We had the Reuben, thanksgiving sandwich, salmon, General Al’s chicken and a crabs cake sandwich! Everything was excellent!

Our experience is very good. Our server was very friendly and excellent. It was very noisy with a few loud groups. The food was very good!!
