First time dining here. We arrived at 4:15pm for a much later reservation, but were seated immediately after we were allowed to peruse the entire upstairs and down for our seat selection. Hostess was quite tolerant and polite. We were one of only 2 tables filled. Our first seat selection downstairs was so very cold, with A/C blowing directly on us, we asked hostess if something could be done. She was agreeable and tried closing the vent. This helped but by the time our salad came my husband was actually shivering so we slide ourselves along the wall bench to the second table away and all was well. Our martini and iced tea were very good. Our shared chopped salad, while visually amazing, was totally overwhelmed in flavor by the underlying layer of what looked like processed crushed bacon (spoiler alert: no greens of any type on this salad other than garnish). Everything else appeared fresh but it was very hard to tell by flavor alone. We shared the scallops entree which was perfect as there were 6. I ate the accompanying brocollini and my spouse the potatoes and both were tasty, but again overwhelmed by the buttery sauce that they sat in on the plate. Scallops, wrapped in prosciutto, had very little scallop flavor, overwhelmed by overcooking. Wait staff apologized for not understanding that we wished to have some bread with our entree until we mentioned it. Then we were told it would take a few minutes as they warmed their bread before serving. It was then to arrive after we would complete our entree so we were asked if we still wanted it. We said we would have it as dessert. It came with warmed butter and a pesto sauce for dipping. Yummy but we had had enough of all the saltiness of the meal that we did not finish either sauce even though there were 3 types of bread and plenty of it. Flatbread crackers were one choice but it was extremely salty. Worst point of all was when the bill arrived we found we were charged $5.00 twice for the bread for two. Sheesh.
